I was honestly expecting some kind of evidence against Vollman other than that he is ugly and weird. I guess we live in a world where you can just call someone a prolific serial killer with no evidence. Saying that someone murdered his daughter with zero evidence is the wildest slander I’ve ever read.

Wow. It was a bit more than that. How about the bad seed vibe regarding the sisters death? Not to mention, this is not new. There are people that believe today’s actors and the people who performed early Shakespeare, were also traveling bands of government killing teams. Being a character, was a great way to look like a weirdo, rather than as sociopath.

No, the soldiers on Omaha beach died to use though at the end of their sentences?? MANDELA EFFECT i thought it was for biblically-accurate basedjaks listening to so-bad-it's-good lofi hip hop Plastic Love like in my uncanny valley immersive sim lost media metroidvania-inspired mature animes with no Ludonarrative dissonance because it's almost as if, for less than the cost of a Big Mac, fries and a coke, you can vote with your wallet and buy techwear and asmr pc music in the liminal spaces at the same femboy hooters where john lennon used to beat his wife like an irl boss battle along with the other low-end karens and male manipulaters who gatekeeped and gaslit the /mu/core prequel memes that fact checked that part of neon evangelion where the pope existed in the cars universe during a fucking pandemic like how Ed Edd n Eddy took place in purgatory or how Yakuza John Wick literally made comfy trope threads that trusted the science saying that an inheritance is just your relatives dropping loot when they die, though

Vollmann's association with Deep Springs College and the Telluride Association, as referenced extensively in his first novel: *You Bright And Risen Angels*, is as open a revelation of conspiracy as I've found, and I spent years tracking down all the references in *Illuminatus!*, as well as knowing a ridiculous number of spectacularly suspicious characters in my life -- Vollmann is beyond sketchy, in a class with Marc Dutroux's connections.

I had never heard of Vollmann before in my life and I have two lit degrees, own a bookshop (not in the US but like I have heard of all of the other writers mentioned along side him). I feel like I just discovered a new level of privilege I have been benefiting from my whole life. Also WTF dude this is so unhinged lol

That “He looks like” paragraph is some of the finest, hyper focused lazer beam attacking that I’ve ever read. I’ve picked this guys books up multiple times but never committed to one. Something about him feels so creepy. Thanks for thoroughly clarifying my vague suspicions.

Surprised you didn’t mention the story he wrote about a serial killer murdering homeless people in Rainbow stories… though I have to say this is like beyond retarded and seems to stem from some kinda beef you have with Vollman’s writing and popularity. I’m gonna assume you also hate Dfw and David Markson and that whole brainy white boy school of late 20th century writing, which honestly is totally fair, but like write some literary criticism about it, don’t just accuse people of being serial killers and cia agents

Lots of people already have, this is at least interesting in its own way

I need to read Vollman now. Your description of him - stratospheric level hilarity. Thank you for the laughter.

I like this. Not a vollman head. Strikes me as a mouth breathing post beat who most times would just get heavy into paintball and board game nights at magic the gathering stores. Question is what’s the point of the scrubbed publishing friend tip at the end? Like are you trying to say you actually have something there? If so why not throw it out there? If not is it just supposed to dramatize what you think most wtv profilers go through?

So, Vollman is a combination of G Gordon Liddy, James Ellroy, and the Average Redditor. It’s all been done before
