IT’S THE LONE POET! YEE HA!
Jack Daniel Christie The Lone Poet rode out with this cute lil’ zine at Discordia’s second Bonfire of the Poets event earlier this year: Rodeo of the Poets! In it The Lone Poet calls to question the complex semantics that dog both our view of the colonial frontier of yore and the sterile world of capitalist violence we find ourselves in today!

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I acknowledge that there was land.
There was land and sea and air and another fourth thing.
There was the Land of the Free,
Land of the Dead,
Disneyland,
Legoland,
Fabricland.
Birds, planes land
Sometime after takeoff;
Cats, always on all-fours.
Quarters flipping, mid-air,
Filleting time into possibilities.
Landlords, landladies, landless lay people,
Landed gentry, landed safely,
Landed on the grass. This land is your land,
This land was my land,
Now it's just land.
When I acknowledge land, it is here.
When I stop, it goes away.
